Before all the furniture was moved in, they threw a party...a pre-furniture party...because that's how we all roll. There was shrimp and old school Nintendo games. We went into the attic full of dust and wooden splinters...my brother told me all the plans he had to finish the attic, making it into the coolest reading nook of all time. We sat on the floor with friends and talked. Will played piano that my brother managed to work into the house deal. It was badly out of tune, but a pleasant juxtaposition to the sounds of Super Mario 3. One friend even graded short college essays written in hot pink gel pen. (Were we ever that young?)
Eventually, the shrimp was gone, and everyone had tasted the strange Kale and Beet salad I had brought, agreeing that it was not quite as bad to taste as it was to look at. Before departure, it was time for a haphazard group photo.
Happy first house, guys.
Next party on the horizon: the pre-TRON party...this time at our house.
(...we have the biggest TV...)

Sounds like a fun time for all who were at the party. I'm happy that Jay and Andrea are buying their first house.
